At Power Start, we are committed to providing our customers with high-quality products and excellent service. This policy outlines your rights and our responsibilities regarding returns and refunds, in line with the Australian Consumer Law.
Your Consumer Rights
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Change of Mind
Please choose your products carefully. We do not offer refunds or exchanges if you simply change your mind, find the product cheaper elsewhere, or decide you have no use for it.
Faulty or Damaged Goods
If you believe a product you have purchased from us is faulty or has been damaged in transit, please contact us as soon as possible.
What is a major failure?
A product has a major failure if:
- It has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying it if they’d known about it.
- It is unsafe.
- It is significantly different from the sample or description.
- It doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed.
For a major failure, you can choose a refund or a replacement.
What is a minor failure?
If the problem with the product is not a major failure, we will choose to repair the item, provide a replacement, or offer a refund.
How to Make a Return Claim for Faulty Goods
- Contact Us: To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team within 30 days of receiving your order. You can reach us by emailing us CLICK HERE. Please provide your order number and a detailed description of the fault, along with any relevant photos.
- Proof of Purchase: You will need to provide proof of purchase for all return claims. This can be your order confirmation email or tax invoice.
- Assessment: We will assess your return request. We may need to have the product returned to us for assessment.
- Return Shipping: For faulty items, we will cover the cost of return shipping. Our customer service team will provide you with instructions on how to return the item. Please ensure the product is well-packaged to prevent further damage during transit.
- Repair, Replacement, or Refund: Once we have assessed the product, we will contact you to discuss the remedy. If a refund is approved, it will be processed within 5-7 business days to your original payment method.
Important Notes
- This policy does not apply to faults or damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorised repairs.
- For electronic devices that store user-generated data, please ensure you have backed up your data before returning the item for repair. The repair process may result in the loss of data.
- Our liability is limited to the replacement or repair of the goods or the cost of the goods.
